Administration


Paul Nurick joined Kittitas Valley Community Hospital as CEO in July 2009. Prior to joining the team, he served for approximately 30 years in leadership roles for large and small healthcare organizations in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Paul earned an MBA in Health Systems Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and his undergraduate degree was from Union College in Schenectady, New York.

He has served on the staff of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Management and has been a faculty preceptor for graduate students in the Health Finance and Management Program of the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, as well as serving as Residency Director for graduates of the Yale School of Public Health.


Libby Allgood joined KVCH in October 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. She brings broad experience as a healthcare finance executive to KVCH.  She has previously served in a variety of finance, decision support, and performance analysis roles in both private and public hospitals in Washington State.

Libby earned her undergraduate degree from University of Oregon and a Master of Business Administration degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.




Catherine Bambrick, MS joined KVCH in September 2010 as Administrator of Planning and System Development. In this role, she coordinates communications and marketing, public policy and legislative activity, and strategic planning and business development for KVCH.

Catherine has worked in health care in Washington State for more than 20 years.She has devoted her career to preventive health care primarily working in the areas of health education, strategic planning, assessment, program evaluation and fund development. Catherine most recently worked as Administrator for Kittitas County Public Health Department and served as the Vice President of External Affairs for Planned Parenthood of Central Washington.

She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Central Washington University. An actively involved and dedicated member of the community, Catherine currently is Board President for both Elmview and the Ellensburg School District Education Foundation. She is also a member of the Kittitas County Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee.


Rhonda Holden, MSN, RN, joined Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in December, 2009 and serves as the Chief Quality Officer & Administrator of Patient Safety and Risk Management. Rhonda is responsible for developing, coordinating, facilitating and implementing district-wide quality improvement and risk management activities for the hospital and KVCH-owned medicalclinics.

Rhonda received her Registered Nurse Diploma from Burge School of Nursing and her Bachelor's of Science degree in nursing from Drury University, both in Springfield, Missouri. She completed her Master's of Science degree in nursing at Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She represents the residents of Kittitas County and rural Critical Access Hospitals on the Washington State Emergency Cardiac and Stroke Technical Advisory Committee and the Washington State Stroke Council. Rhonda is also an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, Northwest Association of Nurse Executives and the American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety.


Lisa McDaniel joined Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in 2004. Prior to joining KVCH, Lisa served as Human Resource Director at Whidbey General Hospital for over ten years and Employee Relations Supervisor for St. Joseph Hospital for five years.

Her role at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital includes continuously improving staffing effectiveness, employee recruitment and retention, and developing programs that meet the needs of the hospital's present and potential employees. Administrative responsibilities also include supervision of the Employee Health and Safety, Education, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Community Health Library, Cancer Outreach, and Volunteer departments.

Lisa is also actively involved in Human Resources education and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Central Washington University since 2004 and at the Bellingham Technical College instructor for Employment Law and Labor Relations from 2000-2001. Lisa earned her Master of Science degree in education and Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University.


Dick Smith has served Kittitas Valley Community Hospital as Clinic Administrator since 2005. He is responsible for the hospital-owned physician clinics including Kittitas Valley Internal Medicine, Kittitas Valley Orthopedics, Cle Elum Medical Center and Cle Elum Urgent Care.

Prior to joining the team at KVCH, Dick served as Associate Administrator for Wenatchee Valley Medical Center.

He earned his Master's of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from City University, diploma in Christian Studies from Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Whitman College, Walla Walla, Washington. Dick is also on the board of directors for The Rotary Club of Ellensburg.


Don Solberg, MD, became Chief Medical Officer for Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in 2009. Dr. Solberg has practiced medicine at The Valley Clinic since 1979 and continues to see patients two days per week in addition to his duties as Chief Medical Officer. Prior to coming to KVCH, Dr. Solberg practiced medicine for two years in the mountain town of Granby, Colorado.

Dr. Solberg's role at KVCH includes recruitment and supervisions of KVCH employed physicians, support quality assurance and improvement programs, and representation of physician perspective to senior administration and the Board of Commissioners.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his residency at Weld County General Hospital, now Northern Colorado Medical Center, in Greeley, Colorado. Dr. Solberg is an active member of the morning Rotary Club of Ellensburg, and is on the board of directors for Laughing Horse Arts Foundation and Jazz in the Valley, serving as treasurer for over 10 years.


Craig Wilson, BS, RN, joined KVCH as Patient Care Administrator/Chief Nursing Officer in June of 2003.

As Patient Care Administrator, Craig is responsible for the safety of patients and the quality of patient care services throughout the hospital clinical departments. Craig's role as Chief Nursing Officer denotes his responsibility for accountability to nursing practice standards throughout the organization. Craig also provides leadership for the nursing and professional staff to insure consistent high quality patient care

Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing from Walla Walla University.
