Family Birthing Center

The KVCH Birthing Center combines a relaxed, comfortable home birthing atmosphere with the security of being in the hospital. Each of the modern birthing rooms has a private bath with a whirlpool tub and a birthing bed. Other comforts include a rocking chair, sleeper sofa, a TV, VCR and CD player. All the necessary medical equipment to safely care for mother and baby are built into cabinets and can be accessed as needed during the birthing process.

Experienced nurse anesthetists are available to provide effective pain management. Most women who receive an “epidural” are able to maintain some mobility for more active participation in the birthing experience. When a C-section is necessary, the highest standards of medical support and comfort are provided.

Childbirth Classes are offered through the Family Birthing Center and include a 6 week series as well as refresher classes and Spanish language classes.

Kittitas Valley Community Hospital has teamed up with Growing Family WebNursery to celebrate the miracle of your new baby. With WebNursery, your baby's beautiful photo along with all the important birth information is on Baby's own little web page. Family and friends around the world can get a look at your new arrival in a matter of days after you leave the hospital. And, they can post congratulatory messages on the page for your family to enjoy. You can even print the page and frame it or put in Baby's book as a keepsake.
