Family Birthing Center

At KVCH, we believe each birth is a unique and personal experience. Through a highly skilled team of physicians, nurses, and other health professionals, the Family Birthing Center provides a safe, comfortable, family-centered maternity care environment.

Our birthing center combines a relaxed home birthing atmosphere with the security of being in the hospital. The Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) room has been designed for you and your family's comfort. This is the room where mom remains throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Private birthing suites include a relaxing whirlpool tub, birthing bed, rocking chair, TV, VCR, CD player, and a convenient sleeper sofa for an overnight guest.

All the necessary medical equipment to safely care for mother and baby are built into cabinets and can be accessed as needed during the birthing process. Should you need specialized care, we have a designated surgical suite that is equipped for Cesarean or high-risk vaginal births.
