Hospice
Hospice care is a special way of caring for a patient with a terminal illness who no longer receives a curative treatment.
Our services deliver palliative and comfort care while placing a special emphasis on the patient's quality of life.
The hospice philosophy uses a team approach to coordinate care including: the patient, family, nurses, nurses' aides, social workers, physicians, clergy, and volunteers.
Hospice services include:
- Medical equipment and supplies.
- Outpatient drugs for symptom management and pain relief.
- Short-term inpatient care, including respite care.
- Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
- 24-hour, seven-days-a-week on-call nurses.
- Bereavement counseling for family members.
