Medical, Dental & Vision are provided through the Public Employees Benefits Board, with many options to choose from and dental is through Washington Dental Service. KVCH pays all premiums for full-time employees and premiums are prorated for part-time employees. Dependent coverage is also available and is partially subsidized by the hospital. Life Insurance, KVCH provides $25,000 term life employee coverage, $25,000 Accidental death and dismemberment and $2000 dependent life, premiums are prorated for part-time staff. Coverage is through Standard.

Medical Coupons are provided by KVCH for over $300 worth of tests and examinations free of charge if used at KVCH. Employees can also use a $50 coupon towards medical care bills (excluding pharmacy and supplies) at KVCH.

Holiday benefits include eight holidays and one floating holiday.

Vacation accrues on a paid hour basis and starts at 10 days per year.

Sick Leave accrues one day each month (prorated for part-time employees).

Retirement Plan includes a generous contribution of 7% of the employee’s monthly gross pay. All full-time and part-time employees who are at least 21 years of age, working at least 1,000 hours per year are eligible for participation on the first of the month following 24 months of employment. Employees are 25% vested after 2 years and 100% vested after 5 years.

Deferred Compensation Plan provides a voluntary tax-deferred retirement option through AIG. Amounts start as low as $25 per payroll deduction.

Long Term Disability Insurance is provided by Standard. KVCH pays 100% of the premium for all employees 30 hours per week or more. The base plan provides a 60% of the last month’s salary up to a maximum monthly benefit of $6,600 after a 90 day waiting period.

Purchase Discounts for pharmacy materials, bulk food and meal tickets. All of these purchases may be payroll deducted.

Flexible Spending Accounts are available on a pre-tax basis for payment of daycare and medical expenses.

Voluntary Insurance Options covers short-term disability, cancer care, accident insurance through Allstate. KVCH also offers voluntary term life insurance through standard for your spouse and dependents.

Employee Assistance Program through APS Healthcare provides a confidential assessment and referral service specially designed to assist you and your family in handling personal problems.
