Kittitas Valley Community Hospital is a 50 bed hospital which offers a variety of services to the community and surrounding areas. Benefits Descriptions

Vacation
Accrues on a paid hour basis
Starts at 10 days per year
Eligible to take vacation following 6 months

Sick Leave
Accrues on a paid hour basis
12 days per year for full-time
Eligible to use following 90 days

Holidays
Based on FTE, 8 holidays plus one floating holiday
Eligible to use following 90 days

Medical, Vision, Dental
Group Health Options and Washington Dental Service. Premiums for full-time are paid in full
Premiums for part-time staff are pro-rated.

Life Insurance
$25,000 employee coverage, premiums pro-rated for P/T staff.
Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D - $25,000)
Spouse and children coverage offered.
Additional Voluntary life insurance offered
Voluntary AD&D Paid by the employee.
Minimum of $25,000; Maximum of $250,000.
Family coverage available.

Long term disability
.75 FTE, Insurance pays 60% of last months salary;
Maximum of $6,600. Six months to become eligible.

Leave of Absence
Family Medical Leave (12 weeks), Bereavement (3 days)
Military Leave and Educational.

Pension Plan
7% of month’s gross pay, contributed by the hospital after two years and 1,000 hours worked to qualify. 25% vested after 2 years, 100% vested after 5 years.

Deferred Compensation Voluntary
Minimum $25 per month. Variety of investment options through Valic.

Living in Ellensburg

Ellensburg is located in Central Washington approximately 130 miles from Seattle and 30 miles from Yakima with a population of 15,414. Perfectly located between the Cascade Mountain Range and the Columbia River, Ellensburg residents enjoy four season weather and unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities. The mountains provide perfect weather for winter sports such as skiing, snowmobiling, and snow-boarding. Fishing along the Yakima River, hiking, boating, and biking are also among the many recreational activities available during the seasons.

All hours are based on two week pay period
48 hours or more in a two week pay period are considered benefit eligible
Per Diem positions have no scheduled hours, they are to fill in for sick, vacation, and holiday.
