Visiting

KVCH encourages family and friends to visit loved ones in the hospital. However, please remember our patients are here for healing and recuperation; we ask that you be considerate during your visit.

We request anyone that has been recently exposed to a communicable disease (such as chicken pox, measles, whooping cough), or has a cold/flu should not visit.

Visitors should take proper hygienic precautions by using hand sanitizers when entering and exiting patient care areas. Hand sanitizer stations are frequently located throughout the hospital.

  • Visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. or as arranged to accommodate patient and family needs.
  • Family Birthing Center visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Medical/Surgery visiting hours are from 12 noon - 8:00 p.m.
  • Intensive Care visitation may have limitations and is at the discretion on the nurse on duty.
  • After hours, the only open entrance to KVCH is the emergency department entrance. Visitors will need to check in with security and get a pass to be allowed into patient care areas beyond the emergency department.

Cell Phone Use

For the safety of patients and to ensure the integrity of medical devices, cell phones must be turned off prior to entering patient care areas. If you must use your cell phone, please make sure you are in a public area, waiting room, lobby or cafeteria.
