The Valley Clinic Partners with KVCH

4/7/2009

Kittitas Valley Community Hospital Board of Commissioners approved the acquisition of The Valley Clinic during their board meeting Thursday.

“Aligning The Valley Clinic with KVCH is a positive move that only strengthens our mission to provide excellent care to the communities we serve,” said Michael Fraser, KVCH Interim CEO. “We are excited to partner with this strong group of excellent family medicine physicians and the staff of The Valley Clinic.

Fraser also said that there will be no change to the name “The Valley Clinic.”  The Valley Clinic was first established in 1935 and is the most senior practice group in the region. Continuation of the name recognizes the many contributions of all of the physicians, past and present, who have made this an exceptional practice group.

“The missions of both of our organizations are very similar and it is our intent to have a seamless transition for patient care services,” said Jack Baker, president KVCH Board of Commissioners.

The Valley Clinic staff totals 32 employees including seven board-certified physicians and two physician assistants.

“The alliance would not only strengthen the service we provide to our patients,” said Dr. Don Solberg of The Valley Clinic, “but also assist in physician, nurse practitioner and physician assistant recruitment to the county.”

The Valley Clinic is the most established primary care clinic in the region. KVCH also sponsors Kittitas Valley Orthopedics, Kittitas Valley Internal Medicine, Cle Elum Medical Center and Cle Elum Urgent Care.
