KVCH names new chief medical officer
He will be replacing Dr. Rick Johnson
who served as medical director of the hospital for the last six years. Johnson has accepted a position in

its high level of quality performance. He will be instrumental in further
expanding KVCH’s high national ranking in hospital performance into the
outpatient clinics as well,” said Johnson.
Solberg will continue his clinical
practice at The Valley Clinic while serving as chief medical officer. In his
new role, he will be assuming administrative duties and will be responsible for
developing and implementing quality systems within the hospital and
hospital-owned clinics.

Solberg has been a physician at The
Valley Clinic for 30 years. “I am excited to accept this role and to continue
to build on the years I have spent serving the community as a physician. My
mission is to continue improving on the quality standards Dr. Johnson
established and put forth new advances in order to sustain the best quality for
our patients.”
Dr.
He is a member of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians
and is a past president of the organization. Solberg is also a member of the
Ellensburg Morning Rotary Club.
