Cle Elum Medical Center Welcomes Dr. Crane as a Permanent Physician
12/15/2009
CleElumMedicalCenter and KVCH are
pleased to announce that Jean V. Crane, MD has joined the medical staff.
Dr. Crane came to
CleElumMedicalCenter
in June on a three month assignment. “A three month commitment grew into six
months and then into permanent employment. It was the ultimate working
interview,” said Dick Smith, KVCH clinic administrator. “In the time that Dr.
Crane has been here, she has endeared herself to patients, physician peers and
support staff – and likely, anyone who has met her,” Smith said.
“Shortly after Dr. Crane joined us, I
realized what a good fit she is with the practice and community. I am so glad
she felt the same way and has decided to stay,” said Jean Roberson,
CleElumMedicalCenter
clinic manager.
The feeling was mutual.
Dr. Crane said that the community and
geography of
UpperCounty were the deciding
factors in her decision to stay. “My husband and I fell in love with Cle Elum
and our Labrador Retrievers think they’ve gone to heaven.”
Dr. Crane only has one concern – snow. “I’m
a little nervous about winter in Roslyn—it’s not that I’ve never seen snow,
it’s just that I’ve never had to get to work in the snow. But the neighbors in
this kind of climate really seem to look out for each other,” said Crane.
Dr. Crane relocated from
Fresno,
Calif.,
where she practiced medicine for 23 years at Community Medical Providers. The
medical clinic held two other names during the years but the staff and medical
partnership remained the same.
Dr. Crane earned her medical degree from
the
University of
California,
San Francisco
and completed her family practice residency at UCSF in
Fresno.
